The summary display activity of 2015 Jiangsu ‘Philanthropic Youth’ Summer Volunteer Service was held in Nanjing Agricultural University from October 17th to 18th. The team of our school did well and won Top 10 Projects.
The team organized 13 sub-activities with promoting the hematopoietic stem cells as the theme. During the project, the team members have made a lot of efforts to invite the relevant experts as guides, to do relevant knowledge training, to conduct questionnaires survey and collect volunteers, and to popularize knowledge on hematopoietic stem cells to different groups. In the end, the team members organized a volunteer exchange meeting and discussed the problem and improvement, and expressed the determination of promoting hematopoietic stem cells. The series of activities were reported by the Science and Technology Daily, China News Agency and other mainstream media, and was reprinted by more than 30 media.
‘Philanthropic Youth’ Summer Volunteer Service, held by Jiangsu provincial Red Cross, provincial civilization office, the provincial education department, provincial health department, the provincial Party committee and the provincial volunteer associations, has been carried out for 5 years, relying on the province's College Red Cross, with the Red Cross youth volunteers as the main force and Learning the spirit of Lei Feng, caring for life, spreading love, serving the society as the theme, to carry out a variety of colorful and fruitful summer volunteer service activities.
