Graduate academic salon on beyond the budget of the academic seminar was held in room 1301 of Sanjiang building, March 15th. Chen Jinan, the director of the Finance Department of the college,was invited  to give a speech.This activity was warmly welcomed by the students and attracted more than 50 students to participate in the seminar.

During the first part of the activity, Teacher Chen used the article ‘beyond the budget, control the future’ to show us how NOKIA play the advantages of over-budget.Then he introduced the ‘rolling budget’, ‘alternative budget control concept’, ‘key performance indicators’, ‘after the relative performance of the contract’ and other concepts and prepared with PPT to explain what to go beyond the budget, and combined with his experience to describe the new thinking.During the second part of the activity, Teacher Chen briefly discussed the skills and thinking of CPA test and put forward valuable suggestions in the future planning of students.

The event is not only an academic activity of graduate students, but also as a part of the cultural construction of the Graduate in school of Finance and economics.The activity enhance participants’ the understanding and thinking of over-budget and have helped to expand horizons and knowledge of graduate students, developing students' academic thinking and academic habits.At the same time, this activity promotes the academic exchange between graduate students and teachers and better the academic atmosphere of our school.
