In midmonth of March,the Language Community and Jingzhe Debating Community of Jiangsu University held the debate competition “Cup of Pursuing reality” and “Cup of Jingzhe Debate” respectively.Our school dispatched two debate teams to compete fiercely with 17 teams from other schools in 25th and 26th March.
In the competition of “Cup of Pursuing reality”,the debate topic is “What is the meaning of laws:logic or experience?”.the debate teams between Finance and Economics School and Computer School debated about 1.5 hours.It is a fierce and wonderful competition.Eventually,the debate team of Finance and Economics School win the competition at 3:2 which was a weak advantage.Therefore,they got 3 scores,adding 5 scores last competition,our team ranked first so far.
In the competition of “Cup of Jingzhe Debate”,our debate team was divided into the group of death.But our members didn’t give up.They prepared carefully and industriously. The debate topic is “If a kind person doesn’t have a good result,do you still want to be a kind person?”.Unfortunately, our debate team was “do not to be a kind person” which was disadvantage in morals.But experienced 3 competition in two days, our debate team defeated teams of Liberal Arts School,Pharmacy School and Chemical Engineering School to be the winner and entered into the semifinal.
In these competitions,the debate team members of Finance and Economics school show their civilized behaviors and reasonable debating thought all the time.We hope more and more students can focus on the debate competition and cheer our competitors up. We do hope they will make a better score!Come on,the debate team of Finance and Economics school!
